“Terri brings a wealth of expertise to this critical role, having served in numerous senior leadership positions over the past 35 years at Dow and in our community,” said Steve Carras, Chair of the Board of Trustees for Greater Midland. “Her vision, passion and unmatched business experience will make her an outstanding leader for the organization.”
Johnson most recently served as Corporate Director and Global Champion for Employee Experience at Dow, creating and executing a first ever strategic focus on driving a positive employee experience for all that is based on active listening, driving improvements and inspiring Dow’s workforce.
An experienced multi-faceted leader, Johnson has led strategic communication activities, transformed Dow’s approach towards customer and business events, and aligned the Dow Company Foundation with business ambitions. Through her tenure, Johnson has spearheaded Dow’s philosophy for social impact and served as a visible champion for inclusion.
Johnson’s extensive community leadership experience includes Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Greater Midland since 2008, Chairman of the Owners Committee for the H Hotel since 2014, and past board member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
“I am thrilled to follow in the footsteps of the impactful leaders before me and alongside the talented and passionate leaders and employees currently at Greater Midland,” said Terri Johnson. “I’m honored to take the reins of this flagship organization, it is personal for me. Growing up and raising my family in this community, Greater Midland has been part of so many memories. We are blessed to have these assets locally and together with the committed trustees and boards of directors, we promise to make Greater Midland even Greater – for everyone.”
