The Greater Midland Community Center is hosting two indoor triathlon events this winter. The #Be Greater Indoor Triathlon will take place on Sunday, January 24 and again on Sunday, March 6 inside the center located at 2205 Jefferson Avenue.

The event scheduled for Sunday, January 24 has been cancelled with no reschedule planned. The March 6 event is still open for registration.

The events consist of the three traditional triathlon components including a swim, bike ride and run. Each leg of the triathlon will last 20 minutes – swimming laps in the pool, riding a spin bike and running on a treadmill. Participants who accumulate the furthest overall distance in their age group will be awarded prizes. Age groups are: 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.

The triathlon offers several start times beginning at 8:00am on race day. Registration is $25 before race day and $30 on race day.
