Great Lakes Loons Race Participant:
Due to the extenuating weather conditions around the Great Lakes Bay Region this morning, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we must cancel this year’s Great Lakes Loons Pennant Race.
Many, many hours and dollars have already been invested in preparing to run this race and so this decision is a difficult one to make. However, due to the icy course conditions, your safety is our concern. We would like to thank all of our participants and volunteers and appreciate your understanding. We would like to thank all of our sponsors: Great Lakes Loons, Quad Graphics, WalMart, ReMax of Midland, MidMichigan Health, Bob Evans Restaurant, Chippewa Nature Center, Buffalo Wild Wings and Spence Brothers for their continued support of this fundraiser for the Midland Public Schools Track and Field programs. The proceeds from this race will be dedicated to the Midland Public Schools Track and Field programs.
Race packets will still be available for pick-up starting Sunday, April 15 at 11AM at the Greater Midland Community Center Welcome Desk through Friday, April 20. Each race packet will contain the Great Lakes Loons Pennant Race shirt, a Family Day Pass to the Greater Midland Community Center, a $5 discount on any NEW 2018 race registration with Greater Midland Races, as well as a Great Lakes Loons voucher to exchange for a lawn seat at any Great Lakes Loons home game. If you have already picked up your packet, a voucher for the $5 discount and the family pass will be emailed to you on Monday.

Packet Pick Up: Friday, April 13 from 4-6 PM at Greater Midland Community Center or Race Day: April 14 starting at 8:30 AM at Dow Diamond
This race supports the Midland Public Schools track and field program while showcasing one of Midland favorite attractions; LOONS BASEBALL! We offer a 5K run and walk along with a 1 Mile Fun Run. All participants receive a race day game ticket!
